Erdemir Eregli steel plant (EREĞLİ DEMİR VE ÇELİK FABRİKALARI T.A.Ş (Turkish)), also known as Eregli Demir, is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating in Ereğli, Zonguldak, Türkiye.

Background

Oyak Mining Metallurgy Group owns and operates two facilities in Turkey, Erdemir steel plant and Isdemir steel plant.[1]

Erdemir S.A. was established in 1960, but the steel plant did not begin operation until 1965.[2]
