Fuhai Indonesia steel plant is a steel plant in Jambi, Sumatra, Indonesia that operates basic oxygen furnace (BOF) technology.

Background

Fuhai Group, in 2014, announced to invest $1.2 billion in Jambi, Indonesia, including a steel mill, port, offices and power plant. The project was expected to be completed by the end of 2016[1]. The company announced that the steel plant will source its nickel pig iron material from a smelter also being developed by Fuhai Group[2]. As of 2025, there is no signs or news of construction of the project.
