GPH Steel Sitakunda plant, also known as GPH Ispat Sitakunda, is an electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Sitakunda, Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Background

GPH Ispat Steel plant is a public limited steel manufacturing company in Chittagong, Bangladesh, founded on 17 May, 2006.[1][2] Commercial production of steel started on 21 August, 2008. The plant was expanded in 2016 using Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Quantum Technology by enhancement of production capacity of 840 ttpa billets, which was commissioned in 2020.[2] The plant had an existing capacity of 170 ttpa through induction furnaces.[3]
