Background
The Ghaenat Steel Complex in South Khorasan province began operating with a Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) unit in 2021, followed by a steelmaking Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) in 2024.[1] There are plans to construct a solar power plant to supply electricity to the steel plant.[1]
