Background

The Godo Steel Himeji Works is one of three main plants operated by Godo Steel; the other two are Godo Steel Funabashi Works and Godo Steel Osaka Works. The company began operations at Himeji Works in 1978.

The plant is investing 12.8 billion yen to renovate its rolling mill equipment–the renovation is expected to start in fiscal year 2025, expected to be completed in the second half of fiscal year 2028.
