The Ring of the Moscow Region Gas Pipeline and the Gryazovets-Ring of the Moscow Region Gas Pipeline run parallel to each other when forming a circle around the city of Moscow and the Moscow Oblast.[5]

Modernization of one segment of the pipeline (from Noginsk compressor station to Voskresensk compressor station) to increase capacity of the ring pipeline of the Moscow Oblast to 90 bcm/y was included in the list of "Planned Transmission Gas Pipelines" issued by the Ministry of Energy of Russia in May 2015 and revised in May 2023.[3]
