Guangdong Guangqing Metal Technology Co Ltd (广东广青金属科技有限公司) is a steel plant in Yangjiang, Guangdong, China that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.
On May 17, 2018, the Guangdong Provincial Environmental Protection Department issued the "Notice on the Implementation of Supervision and Inspection on Illegal Disposal of Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Cases in Yangjiang City" (Yuehuanhan [2018] No. 781). It was decided to supervise and inspect the Guangdong Guangqing Metal Technology Co., Ltd., Yangjiang Yichuan Metal Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Century Qingshan Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. for the temporary slag stacking case, the illegal dumping of copper-containing sludge case in Yangchun City, the illegal storage of hazardous waste case at Yangchun Hui Long Metal Materials Co., Ltd., and the illegal transfer and dumping of hazardous waste from Jiangmen Changyou Industrial Co., Ltd. to Yangjiang City.Starting from March 7, 2021, the supervision and inspection on cases of illegal disposal of solid waste and hazardous waste have been lifted.[1]
