The Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur (HVJ) Gas Pipeline is an operating natural gas pipeline in India.[1][2][3]

Background

HVJ is India's first cross country gas pipeline. The pipeline is part of the Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur & Gas Rehabilitation and Expansion Project & Dahej-Vijaipur Pipeline Network (HVJ-GREP-I-DVPL-I) and Dahej-Vijaipur -Vijaipur-Dadri Upgradation (DVPL-II - GREP II) which constitutes a 5502.46 km long pipeline network.[3]

In addition to the Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur (HVJ) Gas Pipeline, the Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur & Gas Rehabilitation and Expansion Project & Dahej-Vijaipur Pipeline Network (HVJ-GREP-DVPL-I) includes a 505 km long Vijaipur-Dadri Gas Pipeline (GREP-I), constructed as part of the Gas Rehabilitation and Expansion Project (GREP-I)[5], and a 770 km long Dahej-Vijaipur Gas Pipeline (DVPL-I)[4].

The Dahej-Vijaipur -Vijaipur-Dadri Upgradation (DVPL-II - GREP II) project includes 610 km long Dahej-Vijaipur Pipeline (DVPL-II) and another 505 km long Vijaipur-Dadri Gas Pipeline (GREP-II) running parallel to the GREP-I pipeline. [4][3][2][5]
