Hebei Xin Wuan Steel Group Wenan Iron and Steel Co Ltd (武安市文安钢铁有限公司, 河北新武安钢铁集团文安钢铁有限公司, 河北文安钢铁集团有限公司), also known as Hebei Wenan Iron and Steel Group Co, is a steel plant in Handan, Hebei, China that operates basic oxygen furnace (BOF) and blast furnace (BF) technology.

Background

The company plans to retreat from the city to Wu'an Industrial Park at the end of 2023, eliminate existing equipment, and build a 1430m3 blast furnace and a 120-ton Basic Oxygen Furnace.[1]

On the morning of February 28, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the capacity reduction and upgrade project of Wen'an Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., part of Hebei Xinwu'an Iron & Steel Group. This project focuses on the production of high-quality specialty steel.[2]
