Background
The company plans to build in stages: one 1860m³ blast furnace, one 155-ton converter, one 100-ton electric arc furnace, one 2000m³ blast furnace, and supporting facilities. The planned total production capacity is 10 million tons of steel per year, with construction divided into two phases and three stages. On May 18, 2021, with the successful ignition of the No. 1 blast furnace in the first phase of the Zhoukou capacity replacement project of Anyang Iron and Steel, the 1860m³ blast furnace entered the stage of full production.[1] The steelmaking project was successfully put into operation on June 25, 2021.[2]
