Background

The Insani Baraperkasa (IBP) coal mine is an opencast mine, operated by PT Insani Baraperkasa, a subsidiary of Resource Alam Indonesia, north of Samarinda, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.[3] As of 2016, PT Insani Baraperkasa, a subsidiary of Resource Alam Indonesia, operates the coal mine. The concession is divided into eight coal deposit blocks, namely Simpang Pasir, Bayur, Tani Bakti, Gunung Pinang, Loa Janan, Separi, Perangat, and Maukiri.[4]
