Background
Izykhsky Coal Mine (Изыхский разрез) is a surface mine near the town Belyy Yar, in Altaysky District, Khakassia Republic, Russia.[11] Izykhsky coal mine has four different sections. The last section 4 was developed in 2008.[12] As of 2022, mining works were conducted in section 4.[13]
Izykhsky coal mine is owned and operated by SUEK-Khakassiya JSC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK).[11]
According to information on the website of SUEK AG (the export arm of SUEK), the Izykhsky coal mine does not supply coal for exports.[14]
At the end of November 2022, the coal mine met its annual plan of 1.2 million tonnes.[13]
