Background

Jai Balaji group has four units with in West Bengal: Unit I, Unit III, Unit IV and Unit V.

In 2020, the company proposed expansion of steel plant by upgradation of existing blast furnaces and additional installation of electric arc furnaces. According to the company's Q3 & 9MFY24 Investor Presentation, the company was revamping the blast furnaces (BF) at Unit III. BF#1 was completed in FY24. BF#2 will be completed by Q4FY26.
