The Jiangsu Coastal Gas Pipeline consists of one central line, 6 trunk lines and 6 branches forming a network of pipelines providing natural gas access to the majority of northern and central Jiangsu Province. The central line hugs Jiangsu's coast, while trunk and branch lines extend into the mainland regions.

In 2018, Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission and China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau Engineering Co., Ltd., (中石油管道局工程有限公司)[1] announced the development of this gas pipeline, with a total investment of 20 billion RMB. As of 2020, the Jiangsu Coastal Gas Pipeline was in the preliminary stages of development, including proposal and initial preparations for construction.

In 2021, Jiangsu Province announced the "Jiangsu Province National Economy and Social Development 14th 5-Year plan and 2025 Prospective Target Outline" 江苏省国民经济和社会发展第十四个五年规划和二〇三五年远景目标纲要. This plan reaffirms Jiangsu Province's dedication to expand natural gas accessibility within the province. A central aspect of this plan is the use of Jiangsu Province's extensive 954 kilometers coastline, and the increased access to energy for this coastal region. The network is expected to be completed by 2030.[1]

Qidong–Tongzhou Gas Pipeline 启通天然气管线（启东-通州）

Lvsigang and Tongzhou Bay are one of the key areas for coastal development in Nantong. The starting point of the Qidong-Tongzhou Gas Pipeline project's main pipeline network is located in the Lvsigang area, and the endpoint is at the Liuqiao Town distribution station. Among these, Branch Line 1 starts at Valve Room No. 2 and ends at Tongzhou Bay Science and Education City. Branch Line 2 starts at Valve Room No. 4 and ends at Huadian Tongzhou Thermal Power Plant. Branch Line 3 starts at Valve Room No. 6 and ends at Tianshengang Power Plant.[13]
