Background
On October 28, 2020, Delong Nickel Industry Phase II （1.35 million tons refining） project held a groundbreaking ceremony, and it is planned to build two 85-tonne high-power electric arc furnaces. After completion, the production capacity of stainless steel continuous casting slabs will increase from the existing 1.12 million tons/year to 2.47 million tons/year.[1] The two 85-tonne electric arc furnaces were put into production in February 2022.[2]
