Jindal Steel Krishnapatnam steel plant, also known as JSPL Krishnapatnam steel plant (formerly), is a steel plant in Krishnapatnam, Chilakur, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India that operates basic oxygen furnace (BOF) and ironmaking technology.

Background
Jindal Steel & Power obtained a site for construction of a greenfield BOF steel plant from Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board in July 2021. The planned capacity of the plant was 2.5 mtpa and the expected cost is INR 7,500 crore.[1][2] As of March 2023, the capacity was modified to 3 mtpa at an investment of INR 10,000 crores.[3][4]
As of January 2025, Jindal Steel received 860 acres of land from the state government and had not begun work.[5]
In July 2025, JSPL officially renamed itself as "Jindal Steel Limited" (JSL).[6]
