Kish South Kaveh Steel Hormuzgan plant (شرکت فولاد کاوه جنوب کیش), also known as SKS Steel Company, Kish South Kaveh Steel Company, is a steel plant in Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan, Iran that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) and direct reduced iron (DRI) technology.

Background

The Kish South Kaveh steel plant operates both Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) units. Iron production is split between two units, each with a capacity of 0.93 million tons per year, with a planned third unit of 1.5 million tons per year in capacity under construction.[1][2] Steelmaking takes place in two EAF units of 1.2 million tons per year in capacity each.[3]
