Background
Kishiwada Steel was established in 1956. In 1971, the plant began operating using electric arc furnace. No. 2 electric arc furnace began operation at the plant in 1980. In 2001, the plant started operation of its EcoArc furnace.[1]
A fire accident at the plant on January 04, 2023 resulted in temporarily suspending the operations at the plant. The manufacturing was scheduled to restart on April 25, 2023.[2]
