Background

Louisiana LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG terminal in Louisiana, United States.[3] Parallax Energy acquired Louisiana LNG Energy LLC while it was in the pre-filing environmental review stage before Federal Energy and Regulatory Commission filing.[3]

Cheniere Energy Inc. later agreed to co-sponsor the terminal, but after disputes, FERC terminated the companies' pre-filing review due to inaction, and no development has occurred since.

After Parallax and Cheniere's involvement in the projected ended, Pointe LNG, LCC revived the terminal as Pointe LNG Terminal.

As of 2019, there have been no updates in over four years and the project is inferred to be cancelled.
