Background on Project

SGCC's Luneng Group is was planning to build a coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 4,000 MW in Heilongjiang Province.[1]

In 2010 Luneng Group transferred its coal possessions, including coal power plants, to Guodian (State Grid). In 2012 Guodian transferred the coal assets to Shenhua Group Corporation.[2]

As of 2014 it appears the only power station Shenhua Group is pursuing is the 1200 MW Luneng Baoqing power station in Baoqing County.[3][4]
