Mobarakeh Saba Steel Chamgordan plant (شرکت فولاد سبا, مجتمع فولاد سبا), also known as Mobarakeh Saba Steel, Saba Steel & Rolling Mill, Saba Steel Co, is a steel plant in Chamgordan, Isfahan, Iran that operates direct reduced iron (DRI) and electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background

The Mobarakeh Saba Steel Complex, one location of Mobarakeh Steel Company, the largest steel producer in the Middle East and North Africa and the largest Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) producer in the world, opened in 2006.[1] At this location, the company has both DRI and Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking capacity, split between one 1.5 million ton per year DRI unit and two EAFs with a total of 1.6 million tons per year in capacity.[2]
