Moon Iron & Steel Company Sohar plant (حديد القمر (Arabic)), also known as MISCO, is a 1200 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Sohar, Al Batinah North, Oman.

Background
The Moon Iron & Steel Company Plant began operating in 2012. It was funded with a joint investment by the Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC), Oman Development Fund SAOC(ODF), the Sultan’s Special Forces Pension Fund and experts from the steel industry.[2]
In 2021, MISCO announced it was signing a 26 million (USD) deal with the German company Lind to supply the required quantities of oxygen for their plant.[3]
