Nanjing Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., commonly known as Nangang Group, is a non-state holding iron and steel company headquartered in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, China.[1]

History

Nanjing Steel Group Co., Ltd., formerly known as Nanjing Iron and Steel Plant, was established in 1958. In July 1996, Nanjing Iron and Steel plant carried out corporate system reform and established Nanjing Steel Group Co., Ltd. In September 2000, Nanjing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. controlled by Nanjing Steel Group Co., Ltd. was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. In April 2003, Nanjing Steel Group Co., Ltd. carried out overall restructuring and asset reorganization, changing from a wholly state-owned enterprise to a non-state-owned holding enterprise, realizing a major change in the system and mechanism.[1]

Nanjing Iron and Steel Group has more than 10 subsidiaries. The enterprises invested by the group are mainly steel manufacturing, and the business scope covers mining and beneficiation, real estate development and sales, engineering design, engineering construction, steel structure production and installation, metallurgical casting, machinery manufacturing and processing, metal materials and metallurgical by-product processing, logistics, Hospitals, hotels, restaurants and other fields.[1]
