Background
On May 17, 2018, at 8:43 AM, the company experienced a molten steel explosion accident that resulted in 4 fatalities and 11 injuries.[1]
The main construction of Nanyang Hanye Special Steel Co. Ltd.'s R&D and advanced renovation project for steel used in offshore platforms and engineering was completed in October 2024, with successful trial operations. On the very first day, production exceeded 5,000 tons of high-end specialty steel. The project focuses on producing special steel materials such as shipbuilding and offshore platform steel, pipeline steel, weather-resistant steel, wind power steel, and pressure vessel steel.[2][3]
