Background

The pipeline will transport a wide fraction of light hydrocarbons from the SIBUR's Nizhnevartovsk Gas Processing Plant and Belozerny Gas Processing Plant to the Yuzhny Balyk Gas Processing Plant for further transportation along the Purovsk-Yuzhny Balyk-Tobolsk Product Pipeline to the SIBUR Petrochemical Plant in Tobolsk. The pipeline will connect to the Gubkinsky-Yuzhny Balyk Condensate Pipeline at its 660th km. The pipeline will have two segments (main and reserve pipelines), which will run parallel to each other. The project was included in the governmental document "On the approval of the territorial planning scheme of the Russian Federation in the area of federal transportation (gas and oil pipelines)" released by the Ministry of Energy of Russia in May 2015 and revised in November 2023. In January 2024, the project was approved by Glavgosekspertiza of Russia.[1][2][3]
