Background

Peixian power station was a proposed 2 x 660 MW ultra-supercritical coal plant proposed for Datun Town in Pei County by Wintime Energy. The project was expected to receive approval from the Jiangsu Environmental Protection Agency in May 2016,[1] but did not.[2]

In May 2020, plans for the plant were replaced with plans for two new 660 MW units in Sheyang County, an expansion at the Jiangsu Sheyanggang power station.[3]
