Background
On June 11, 2019, the working group for strengthening supervision and designated assistance in key areas, which is part of the Blue Sky Defense War launched by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, has pointed out that Qian'an Jiujiang has problems such as unorganized emission and direct emission of ladle flue gas, and is now listed as a steel enterprise to be rectified.[1]
According to the capacity replacement announcement in December 2021, the company plans to build two 1350m³ blast furnaces, one 105 tonne EAF and 3 100 tonne EAF to replace 2 480m³ blast furnaces and 2 80-tonne BOF. [2]
