Rashmi Metaliks Kharagpur steel plant, also known as RML Kharagpur, is a steel plant in Kharagpur, Shyamraipur, West Medinipur, West Bengal, India that operates blast furnace (BF) and induction furnace (IF) technology.

Background
The plant operates a mini blast furnace and steel melting shop comprising of induction furnaces.[1] A public hearing was held in August 2024 regarding the proposed expansion of the plant to increase blast furnace capacity to 550 ttpa, and steel melting shop to 830 ttpa by addition of four 25 tonne induction furnaces.[2]
As of October 2025, there has been no update on the expansion of the plant.
