Renusagar power station is a 726-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Uttar Pradesh, India by Hindalco Industries.

Location

The plant is located at Renusagar, Sonebhadra district, Uttar Pradesh, 45 km away from the Renukoot aluminium plant.

Background

The power plant is operated by Hindalco Industries and provides power to the company's smelter (integrated plant) Renukoot for production of aluminium.[1]

The project comprises ten units built from 1968 to 2003.[2][3]
