Rockland Capital Energy Investments

Rockland Capital Energy Investments LLC is a private equity company that was formed in early 2003 in order to acquire and develop select investment opportunities in the North American and European power and energy infrastructure markets. Portfolio investments have been located throughout the United States with one in the United Kingdom, ranging in size from 5 MW to 1,875 MW and fueled by biomass, natural gas, coal, and oil. [1]

Other Investments

Rockland owned an interest in the Midland Power Plant through its investment in MCV Investors, Inc.[2] In March 2009 Rockland sold Midland Cogeneration Venture to EQT Infrastructure Fund and Fortistar.[3]

Rockland sold its interests in Prime Energy in December 2006.[4]

In 2004 Rockland worked with Cargill Financial Markets in order to help secure the Enron bonds previously owned by Teesside Power Financing Limited. Rockland sold its interests in Teeside in December 2004. Teesside Power Station is located in Durham, England. The plant is configured as a 1,875MW combined-cycle, and has been operational since 1993. The project has two surviving power offtake contracts with RWE Npower and EDF.[5]
