Background

Saiod Coal Mine is a surface mine in Vakhdat, Tajikistan.[4] The mine is owned by Shirkati Tajikochity Sayed.[4]

Saiod deposit is located 67 km to northeast of Dushanbe city, in Vakhdat district, at the southwestern end of the Karategin range, on the left bank of the Pendema river valley.
