San Nicolás Coal Mine is an underground coal mine in the province of Asturias, Spain.[5] The San Nicolas coal mine in Spain's northern region Asturias is the last working coal mine in Spain.[6] It was supposed to be closed in 2021, but appeared to be still operating in 2022 and 2023.[7][8][9]

In 2019-2021, the production forecast for the mine was 160,000 tonnes.[9]

In 2022, the coal mine delivered 71,263 tonnes to La Pereda Hunosa power station.[8]
