Se.ven GI Cardiff steel plant, also known as Celsa Steel UK Cardiff plant, Celsa Steel Castle Works, Celsa Steel UK melt-shop, is a steel plant in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background

The melt shop of Celsa Steel UK began in 2006. Other parts of the facility including the hot rolling mill started earlier.[1] The plant was originally owned by Cardiff-based Allied Steel & Wire (ASW), but was acquired by Celsa Steel when ASW entered bankruptcy.[2] In 2024, the plant was acquired by Sev.en Global, who then rebranded the plant to 7 Steel UK in 2025.[3]
