Shadegan Steel Complex (شرکت صنعت فولادشادگان), also known as KSC Shadegan Steel, Sanat Foolad Shadgan Company, Shadgan Steel, is a steel plant in Bandar Imam Khomeini, Khouzestan, Iran that operates direct reduced iron (DRI) and electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background

The Shadegan Steel Complex was announced in 2006 as part of a national plan to strengthen the Iranian steel industry. It was the first plant to use domestic PERED (Persian Reduction) technology in its Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) unit.[1] In February 2024, steel production was also inaugurated at the plant with an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF).[2]
