Background
In November 2019, Shandong Fulong Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. announced the capacity replacement plan, which involved decommissioning two 420 cubic meters blast furnaces and one 1250 cubic meters blast furnace, and constructing a new 2500 cubic meters blast furnace.[1] In April 2022, MCC Huatian Engineering and Technology Corporation successfully signed the design contract for the capacity replacement project (blast furnace section) of Shandong Fulong Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.[2] In August 2023, the capacity swap plan was canceled.[3]
