Background

The capacity replacement project started in 2019. It was planned to build two 1460m³ blast furnaces, two 1350m³ blast furnaces (with an ironmaking capacity of 5.04 million tons), three 100t BOF, and one 105t BOF (steelmaking capacity of 4.65 million tons)[1][2]. In December 2020, the first phase of the project has been put into production.[3] In August 2021, the second phase of the project was put into production.[4]
