SteelAsia Compostela steel plant, also known as SAMC Compostela, Compostela Works, SAMC Cebu (Compostela), is a steel plant in Compostela, Central Visayas, Philippines that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background
In March 2018, SteelAsia announced its plans to construct a scrap-based integrated steel plant in Compostela, Cebu, Philippines.[1] The plant began commercial operation in June 2023.[2] Compostela Works is the first in a series of new steel mills in SteelAsia's five-year development plant for the steel industry in the Philippines[3]. The plant is the largest steel mill in the country, with an annual capacity of 1 million metric tons[4].
