SteelAsia Concepcion steel plant, also known as Concepcion Works, SAMC Tarlac, SAMC Concepcion, is a steel plant in Tarlac, Central Luzon, Philippines that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background

In March 2018, SteelAsia announced its plans to construct a scrap-based integrated steel plant in Concepcion, Tarlac at the cost of USD 393.4 million (PHP 20 billion) with a capacity of 1.2 mtpa of rebar and wire rod.[1][2][3] As of 2025, the plant is under construction and it is expected to be completed by 2028[4][5].
