Background

Sunflag Iron and Steel Company Limited was incorporated in September 1984.[1][2] The company received environmental clearance in 2017 to expand its capacity from 0.5 mtpa to 1.025 mtpa.[3]

As of October 2025, there is no update on the expansion of the plant.
