Swadesh Metallics Simga steel plant is a steel plant in Simga, Kesda, Baloda Bazar, Chhattisgarh, India that operates blast furnace (BF), direct reduced iron (DRI), and induction furnace (IF) technology.

Background

In 2021, Swadesh Metallics Pvt Ltd announced its plan to set up an integrated steel plant in Simga, Chhattisgarh at an estimated cost of ₹14800 million. The project involved setting up of pelletization plant (0.6 mtpa), DRI plant (0.42 mtpa), SMS with caster (0.6 mtpa (12 x 15T induction furnace units), rolling mill unit, RHF unit, Blast Furnace, Sinter plant, Coal washery and a captive power plant of 52 MW (WHRB) and 45 MW (CFBC). As of August 2021, the project was in the planning stage.[1]

As of October 2025, there haven't been any updates on the project.
