Swiss Steel Emmenbrücke plant, also known as Steeltec Lucerne, is a steel plant in Emmen, Lucerne, Switzerland that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background
The Emmenbrucke plant was originally owned by Von Moos Stahl, which was eventually consolidated into Swiss Steel AG in 1996.[1]
In 2022, Swiss Steel Group committed to using 100% swiss hydropower to produce steel at the Emmenbrucke plant.[2]
The company has struggled with rising electricity prices in recent years, and in 2025 had to layoff 50 employees from the Emmenbrucke plant.[3]
