Background

In March 2020 Gaz-System and PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna signed a contract to build the pipeline and provide gas for converting the formerly coal-fired Dolna Odra power station. The pipeline will be supplied by the Świnoujście Polskie LNG Terminal which is anticipated to increase its capacity via the Baltic Pipe Project bringing gas from Norway to Poland via Denmark.[1]

As of May 2021, construction is scheduled to be complete in Q3/Q4 2023.[3] In April 2021, the West Pomeranian Voivode issued a Location Decision for the project[4], according to Gaz System this is one of the three key permits the company needs to begin construction.[3]
