Background

The pipeline is owned and operated by PetroChina. The pipeline carries gas sourced from [[West-East Gas Pipeline 2].

Environment and social impacts (or other optional sections)

At about 5:07 on March 20, 2019, at K169+200 meters of Tai'an-Qingdao-Weihai Gas Pipeline (located in the northeast of Zhujiapo Village, Songshan Eco-tourism Zone, Linqu County, Weifang, Shandong province, China), a natural gas leak, explosion and fire accident occurred. The accident caused no casualties, and the direct economic loss was 9.051643 million RMB.[4]
