Background

The power station is owned by Taiheiyo Cement Corp and is located in Kochi, Shikoku Prefecture, Japan.

The plant is assumed to be separate from the Tosa power station. The retirement date is uncertain, but is presumed to be 2010.

In 2013, a 30 MW biomass-fired Tosa power station using PKS was built on what was likely the site of the former coal-fired power station. It made use of the former infrastructure and personnel.
