Background

Vikas Power thermal plant is a proposed 540 megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant to be commissioned by Vikas Power in Krishnapatnam in Nellore district. The plant would be implemented in two phases of 2x135 MW each.[1]

However, there has been no news since the 2012 announcement, and the project appears to have been abandoned.
