Western Resource Advocates

From Global Energy Monitor

Western Resource Advocates (WRA) was founded in 1989 as a non-profit environmental law and policy organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the natural environment in the Interior West: Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. The group collaborates with local conservation and community groups to preserve the region's natural resources. With a team of lawyers, scientists and economists, WRA works to promote clean energy and reduce pollution and the threat of global warming; restore degraded river systems and encourage more efficient use of existing water supplies; and protect public lands from damage caused by energy development and unauthorized off-road vehicles.[1]
