Xinji No.2 Coal Mine (中煤新集能源股份有限公司新集二矿) is an underground coal mine located in Huajia Lake, Maoji Experimental Zone, Huainan City, Anhui Province, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

The Xinji No.2 Coal Mine started construction in July 1993 and was officially put into operation in October 1996. The initial designed production capacity was 1.5 million tons per year and later expanded to 3.0 million tons per year.[2]In August 2014, Xinji No.2 Coal Mine was listed as a "National Pilot Unit for Green Mines" by the Ministry of Land and Resources of China.[3]The approved production capacity in 2020 is 2.7 million tons per year.[4]
