Zhanihe Surface Mine (大雁矿业集团扎尼河露天矿) is located in the territory of Evenk Banner, Inner Mongokia. The annual production capacity of it is designed to be 6 million tonnes(Mt) a year.

Coal Mine Background

In December 2011, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has ratified the construction of Zhanihe Surface Mine, with a total production capacity of 6Mt/year.

Prior to construction, Zhanihe Mine has begun its preparation work since March 2009. In October 2011, Zhanihe Mine started to enter into the period of experimental operation after construction completed. Since 2017, this coal mine has been going through examination of individual item project.
