Zhejiang Tsingshan Iron and Steel Co Ltd (青田新青山特钢有限公司, 浙江青山钢铁有限公司), also known as Qingtian New Tsingshan Special Steel Co., Ltd., is a steel plant in Wenxi, Qingtian, Lishui, Zhejiang, China that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.
The company has initiated the construction of the Qingtian County High-end New Materials (Global Specialty Steel) project, with a total investment of 5.5 billion yuan and a total land area of approximately 1,500 mu. The project aims to establish a "high-end new materials" manufacturing center, with a focus on researching and producing high-end specialty steel products such as medical devices, molds, energy chemicals, and automotive applications. Leveraging the existing infrastructure of Qingshan Steel, the project will be implemented in phases, adding 360,000 tons of high-end specialty steel smelting capacity, extending the industrial chain downstream, and creating a globally competitive specialty steel fine manufacturing and deep processing base. It is expected to generate industrial added value of over 30 billion yuan. Construction has already commenced.[1]
