Background

The Zibo-Qingdao Gas Pipeline was officially put into operation in 2005 and is currently in overload operation, unable to meet the incremental demand of the market along the pipeline. According to the "14th Five-Year Plan for Oil and Gas Development in Shandong Province", it is proposed to "implement the Zibo-Qingdao Gas Pipeline safety upgrade project". The line will build two new stations, renovate and expand one, and build seven valve chambers.[1]
